well my monitor is going crazy every second it clicks and the screen like wiggles. the model is a compaq mv900 and setup is posted in sig
 
Do you have any other electronics pluged into the same power surge like a fan or something? Any magnetic things close to it? Try degauss?
 
sounds like its deguassing over and over to me.

does that model have a dedicated 'degauss' button? it might be stuck in.

Otherwise, try unplugging it for a minute to see if you can reset the stupid electronics.
