core temp gives me 47C under load

ITAT gives me 45 under load

Nvidia monitor tool gives me 60c under load

which one do i believe. there is a difference between 45 and 60 and if its only 45 i can overclock more..

What processor are you using, what revision is it and what version of CoreTemp are you using? All of these things effect what temperatures software displays.

With the Core chips you really don't have to worry about temperatures. Run them, overclock them and as long as they're stable while running Orthos, the temperatures are fine. If they are running too hot then you won't be stable. You have piles of overclocking head room still so use it!

CoreTemp 0.95 works properly with that processor. Go into the options and set it to Show Delta to Tjunction and it will display exactly how much head room you have to overclock before your processor will start to throttle because it is too hot. These new processors run cool because they don't need as much voltage to overclock to the same MHz as compared to the previous revision B2 processors.

well im tryin to overclock e6850 to 4ghz.. no show.

blue screens here and there even though im running cool(40c load)

im at 1.5v now.. 3.7ghz

Is that 1.5 v that you set in the bios? What does SpeedFan 4.32 or Everest say your cpu core voltage is while running Orthos? I run 1.48 volts at full load without any problems and that is still within the Intel spec.
