Agp to Pci-e using an add-in?

LOL

Looks like a waste of money. No low profile AGP card is available faster than a 9600SE. You can get that performance with even a 6200TC, a sub-$60 video card.

The only exception is for a low profile Quadro because a PCI-E replacement is relatively expensive.

Yea, I was kinda skeptical myself since I couldn't imagine my 9800pr0 piggy-backing onto another card and still fitting in my case.

That thing better be like 19.99 cause for the performance on a low profile AGP card you can spend 20$ more and get a real PCI-E card.

Might work for those who never put the sides on their cases .... J/K

they need to make one that goes the other way around

It would have to be fast. Modding a case to fit that and a full-size card could definetly be a possiblity. :p

Our build it to take a 90 out of the PCI-E and use the next PCI slot as a support backer.

Yeah that is gonna happen.... NOT!!!

Im pretty sure that it would fit in a standard case. Tight fit and a little ugly but the add in card doesnt seem to be that wide. SFF would prolly be out of the question. I know I have at least 2 and a half inches from the window to the card.

Actually looks cool. I have been wanting to upgade my mobo to a DFi 4 (nned a board that can support 300fsb). Only prob is it is PCI-e..so no luck for me....maybe untill now. I never put the side of my case on. With a Mach II and h2o on my vid card it is not needed (no air flow directional needed). I just clean it regularly.

"overclocked AGP interconnection ... is capable of transferring up to 4GB per second – bandwidth on par with PCI Express x16 interconnection."

I like this part. =)

WHEN ARE THEY RELEASED?

2fresh...MSI's nF3 Neo2 should work fine for that, and DFI's got a similar board due out any time now.

I had the Neo2, it was a great board. It could not run past 290 stable =( I have posted at many forums asking for an AGP that can do 300... cant find jack. But with this new deal comming out..I might not need an AGP.

DFI's should do it. If you need that extra 10+ that badly.

Doh, you have phase change. Brain's a bit fuzzy today.

I'm not sure what the implications would be in your situation but my DFI nF4 Ultra-D can do 317x9 with my 3000+ on air with uncured thermal compound. Sometime soon I need to retest the OC and see if the ceiling moved up at all now that it's set for a while. My general assumption is that DFI's nF3 AGP rendition will have roughly the same capabilities if you're patient. And if not the Ultra-D is already known to be capable.

At the risk of saying "I told you so..."
Let me find some of my older links, I know they're around somewhere. Either here or XBit, anyway. Oh, and it looks like they just threw an HSI onto a mini-PCB. Would make sense, considering Albatron's historical ties with nVidia.

Edit 1:
The precursor, a motherboard with both slots onboard.

Okay, maybe not just my idea. Damn.
Oh, and I stand behind my claim before. That doesn't qualify as mounting properly, IMO.

You've already realized that you can't use a solid PCB, since the card won't mount properly.

At the time I had LDT 1.5V and CPU 1.7V. I haven't been keeping up with new results much once I saw what they could do, but there was some results up on XS with phase change on Rev. E a while ago, might be more helpful.

Use the search button and the term XGP. You'll find the same article I linked above, among others. #2 as of this moment.

agp to pci, pfft, just get a new motherboard, its better to have a original PCI motherboard than using an Agp to pci device

Some of us like our AGP cards...look at my X800XT/PE...only one other faster that I have seen.
