AGP or die

P4 3ghz, 2gb DDR 400, 500w Sparkle PSU, MSI budget AGP 8X board, and currently a 256mb Radeon 9600 pro.

I need a new 8X AGP card but pickings seem slim. For $200 CAD what am i looking at?
 
Some kind of X8xx card would be good... You could probably find a used X850 easily.
 
I got an AGP x1600Pro shipped for $170 (GST included). Card is really nice coming from a GF4 4200. If I didn't need dual-link DVI I imagine I'd probably buy a x800 or x850 of some sort.
 
I just recentlywent up from a 9800pro to a X800XL huge difference in detail and game play I had a hard time playing Quake 4 and F.E.A.R. with the 9800. I bought it at the egg for 183 shipped just last month. It's hard but I am holding out until next year for a new system

Not bad.

Personally I'd scrap up the change for a 7800gs, but coming from a 9800pro to an x800xl is damn good.
