I was looking to get a new video card because my Kryo II card has just crapped out. And was wondering if the new AGP8x and APG 4x video cards will work with my APG2x motherboard? I was looking to get an NVIDA FX5500 256mb card.

The latest cards (Radeon 9600/9800 and newer) won't work... They need a minimum of AGP4x (1.5v slot).
But FX cards aren't new, as far as I know, they all work with AGP2x still.
And a Radeon 9500/9700 would also work... Which would be a better card than the FX, if you can get one, that is. They'be been long out of production.

I'm not sure about GeForce 6 actually... I thought they'd also require AGP4x minimum, but after searching around on the net, it seems like they can still support all standards.
