This computer stuff if starting to get me very confused and angry. How can I tell if my AGP Universal slot is 1.0,2.0,or a 3.0? And what does a GeforceFX 5900XT use?

umm..Intel 82815 i think it was im not sure:confused: this is for the 5900XT guys just to remind you.

the 82815 was a graphics controller........it's 1.0 and 2.0 compliant...........up to 4x...........i would look into another motherbaord because that 5900xt can do 8x

yes but will the 5900XT work with it i see it says 4x on it. it really doesnt make much a difference between 4x and 8x yet i hear...

8x cards are backwards compatible with 4x mobos yes, so yes to answer your question it will work. Also XSniper, can I recomend that you look into reading some of the stickies. You've asked a number of rudimentary questions (no offense) in a number of threads, and most of these questions can be answered in the tutorials found in the stickies.

sorry...:( im new to this forum stuff and ive never heard about stickies...(rudimentary..???)

thank you for the sticky info ^^ i have looked around and found out some useful info..except what rudimentary means???:p
