I thought I might share this info....

So, I had to changed the date on my comp to March, 2004 to get a certain program to work. Everything is a ok, then I decide to be civilized and change the date back to present day...I then checked my consoles and got these

[03:23:37] Timered checkpoint triggered.
[02:29:28] Writing local files
[02:29:28] Unit 7's deadline (May 16 03:29) has passed.
[02:29:28] Going to interrupt core and move on to next unit...
[02:29:28] Completed 485000 out of 500000 steps (97)
[02:29:28]
[02:29:28] Folding@home Core Shutdown: INTERRUPTED

*Note the times

I'm running a Powermac so I don't know if this error would occur on a PC. I also thought then what would stop you from running timed WU's and then just changing the date back? I thought that the times were based off of Stanford's servers?

So unfortunately, two lost WU'S....

I know at least on the Windows side of the fence, you can tell the console to ignore the workstation date and just turn the units in. That's one of the very last things it asks you for as part of the config.

You might want to check the Mac console and see if a similar option exists so that you don't run into this again.

Sorry to hear that you lost that.

Edit, I just looked at the details of the Mac console client and it appears that the same setup applies, so you might want to look here as it explains how to do this.
