I have two sons who love technology as much as dad. They are 13 and 14 years old. Is there a rule that they cannot join at that age? I would very much supervise any and everything they post. I feel it is a parents responsibility to teach and train so you would not have to worry about abuse or misuse. Just a question. Thank you.

Not sure but there are a bunch of people here under 14. Im pretty sure there is not a age limit.

When you sign up you have to agree to some TOS i think, and verify that you are 13 or older.

i joined when i was 14, as long as they can speak and contribute without looking like anyone whos been previously banned, you shouldnt need to supervise :p Its a fun place, worst thing in here is the word fan boy :p its on of the few banned words  !!!!!! see? :p cursing is fine, but dont use it every other word :) just make em read the rules, thats enough torture to keep em in check :p

I wouldnt mind there are much worse things they could be getting into. Just keep them out of red versus green wars and we should be fine.

I've been here since I was 13. As long as they don't annoy other posters with pointless comments or annoy other posters, you should be alright. Make sure they read the rules too.

I thought the point was to annoy as many posters as possible?

J/K. :D

We have some members that are 13 and they are fine....we also had older members who act less than 13 and they are now gone. 13 is the physical age requirement for membership, the attitude determines the the length of that membership no matter the age ;)

Thank you all for the info. My boys are quite well behaved and have been homeschooled all their life so they are courteous and up todate with current events. As far as cursing, they know it is there choice to use those words, but we discourage it because of our beliefs. They will be very excited to hear this. Thanks again.

It's all green now. Peace.

Age limits are often difficult (read: impossible) to enforce (I know, being an admin of another larg-ish forum). But as above posters have said, I'd take a mature 14 year old over a immature, pain-in-the-ass 22 year old. Not too much trouble with that around here thankfully. :)
