aftermarket lcd stands

[bbranigin]

I had originally intended to us an ergotron dual lx monitor / laptop desk mount to hold my laptop and a 2490wuxi but I just realized that a desk mount won't work because of the "backsplash" on my dorm's built-in desk. So i need a stand that just sits on the desk.

All of the lift stands with support for a laptop as a secondary display seem to max out at 20" - does anyone know of any product that will support a 24" plus a laptop?

just as a reference - I'm looking for something like this except that is needs to support a 24"

I'd wait until you move out to buy one. chances are you'll be spending a good amount of money and might as well get something you want so you can use it for a couple of years.
