I've done some moderate overclocking but I am thinking of taking my e6550 to around 3ghz. I have a midATX tower. What would be some good choices for air cooling? Thanks.

It depends if you plan to go farther then 3ghz. Overclocking can be really addicting and you dont want to find yourself with a $20-$30 dollar cpu cooler trying to overclock past 3ghz. However if you dont plan on high overclocks, then the Arctic Freezer 7 Pro is a great and cheap cpu cooler. If you want to try higher overclocks then something like the Tuniq Tower or the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme.

Ultima 90. TRUE120.
ACF7.

The Ultima's probably the best buy.

ArcticCooling Freezer Pro 7
e6300 @ 3.2 Ghz
Cool as a cucumber.

ArcticCooling Freezer Pro 7 seems ro be the consensus so far. 3.0 Ghz is as aggressive as I plan on getting.

i got. ac7 pro, a bit loud for efficient cooling
also ninja rev.b, cool and quiet but heavy and hassle to install
recommend either.
