Hey all,

I've go the infamous A8N-E northbridge fan problem. I could get ASUS to replace it, but that would take too much time, and I don't want the same crappy fan.

So... I'm looking for a suggestion on a good aftermarket HSF for the chipset that will fit this board.

Any suggestions are VERY appreciated, thanks!

I looked at 2 for my Asus board. For passive cooling the Zalman NB47J seems to be the best bet, and it is silent. I have heard it needs to have a fan somewhere nearby but YMMV. I put the Swiftech MCX159-R on mine and haven't had any issues. It is VERY tight w/ my video card though. Of course the difference in $ is big too. Hope I helped.

That Vantec looks good, I ordered one from newegg. Thanks folks!
