Hey guys,
Yeah I know a slight odd ball considering all the newest 6-gen and soon to be 7-gen cards being released, how does anybody have any idea on an aftermarket cooling system for a XFX 4890 card that I currently have?
Its started to get increasing noisy/rattly and I've already approached XFX to see if they can replace it, unfortunately it isn't covered by the lifetime warranty as I'm in the UK, so to cover them off I'm also look at custom options outside of the original fan/heatsink shroud. Its not the reference design, more the custom PCB 4890 that XFX produced and so I'm slightly stuck as a lot of the coolers are obviously designed for the 4890 however I'm unsure about the VRM cooling.
Anybody have any options that I can investigate? I'd rather not change the card as it does perfectly for my needs, however it may need upgrading when I come to change my monitor to one of the higher res monitors..
Cheers
Dino
