Couple months ago I bought this computer from person who had out it together and I have been very impressed being my first l7 and ssd.
I7 - 2600K 3400 MHZ - MSI Z68A-GD65 (O3) MS-7681 - OCZ VERTEX 3 60GB SSD
WIMDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM.
I wanted go to larger and better ssd so I bought Samsung 840 EVO 250GB I wanted keep OS & programs same
so I used Samsung migration, it was very simple use almost idiot proof.
Everything went better than expected Win 7 started right up with everything as on smaller ssd EXCEPT disk running in IDE mode and I could not do back up.
I changed from IDE to ACHI in Bios saved & exit system seem reboot OK but just about open windows screen computer rebooted and end up doing same thing over & over so I had go back into Bois change back to IDE and everything works good but slower. Below is Bench mark from Samsung Magician. Of course running IDE
When I try back up there are no options there - nothing click on. After speaking with MSI I agree it is something in Register that needs editing OR Reason believe is Original OS if OEM (no disk) does not have Key # on product ID I have looked into several things and now think I will have do clean install of OS I do have win 7 disk which I can do this BUT I have 3 programs that I will have buy new key - serial # again before I can install & use them and this reason I did clone from smaller ssd to Samsung larger ssd.
ANY suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I have win 7 repair disk which I created but can seem use it for some reason. Nothing happens when put in cd player, or will it boot up from cd.
I also download very interesting Xl7-58997 ISO 3gb file BUT it only boots for install WIMDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM
I tried that and it says not enough space to install - think try use 100 mb partition.
