After replacing memory, my computer won't start

I just upgraded my computer from the specs in my signature to:

Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3L
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500
GeForce GTX260 896MB DDR3
OCZ 4GB 800MHZ DDR2 PC2-6400

I've yet to put in the 4gb of ram because I'm still waiting on my vista disc.
In the mean time, I've installed windows xp pro x86, so I'm using the 2gb of ram I had before.

I encountered an error when installing World of Warcraft that is usually attributed to bad memory, so I decided to try and install it with one stick out and vice versa to see if it would work.

Upon removing 1 stick of 1gb ram, my computer won't boot. It starts up and displays the motherboard screen that allows you to go to the bios, etc. but after that it just goes black, restarts, and does it all over again.

After trying every combination of my old and new ram that would be compatible with a 32 bit version of Windows, nothing has helped and my computer that was running fine now ceases to boot.

Can anyone help me out?

just to be on the safe side, try running memtest overnight to make sure there's no errors on the memory. glad you solved your problem :)
