After BIOS flash, RAID busted?

Flashed my BIOS to get my Opteron reconized. Now, if my RAID array is online, I cannot boot into Windows. It gets past POST, then locks up with a black screen (At the part where the Windows XP x64 loading screen normally would be)

Any ideas as to why?
 
That happened to me on an Intel motherboard/Adaptec RAID controller combo. Every time I updated the BIOS on the Intel board it would kill the RAID array/controller. You're better off with a different RAID controller or not upgrading the BIOS. The best Intel and Adaptec could tell me is to not upgrade the BIOS.
 
If I don't flash the BIOS, I'm stuck with a single-core solution, and only half of my memory is reconized. It's an unacceptable solution. I'm reinitializing the array now, hoping that it will help with something. 9 hours left :(
 
I ended up using a different RAID controller. It never would come back after the BIOS update.
