After a long road, I think I may have a stable clock.

Phenom II 965 BE @ 3.913 ghz @ vcore 1.475 with a MAX temp of 56C
Gaia SD1283
Asus M5A97 EVO with the northbridge @ 2600mhz @ 1.36v
4GIGS Crucial Tracer 7-7-7-24 @ 667mhz OVERCLOCKED to 6-6-6-20 @ 1.65V
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 460 @ 825mhz - 1650 mhz - 1950 mhz

Even with the unlocked multiplier, this chip was a bitch to overclock. My Athlon II 250 Regor was way better! lol

All in all, I am decently satisfied

cool, now bump the voltage to 1.55v and shoot for 4.2Ghz :D lol..

its not that they are that hard to overclock, its just after 3.6Ghz the phenom II x4's seem to require much larger voltage changes.

ew. I am not sure 1.55 is air cooling status is it?

yeah it is depending on the cooler.. if thats the C3 965(125w) chip then its good up to 70C.. i'd do it just for fun to see if 4.2Ghz is even possible on that chip, but 3.9Ghz for normal usage is still very good.

My old settings were 6-6-6-20-33-2T @ 1.65V

My new settings are 6-6-6-20-34-1T @ 1.8V

So far so good!

I am looking at some new memory for a 8gb upgrade. Does anyone know some good overclocking memory?

OK I need someone opinion!

I can have either.

lol yeah. while i dont fully agree.....speed vs. stability is the real issue
