aerogate 2... some questions about modding

im looking to see how easy these thing are to tear down to be repainted... newegg only carries them in white, and i need one in a black/blue color scheme... i notice from the file photos on new egg there are some screws on the front, are they decrotive (non fuctional) screws? or are they holding a piece of plexi to the front... (i cant tell if thats plexi or not) and im assuming the electronics in the bace are simply screwd on ... easy enought to remove, (and the buttons should come with it... but... as there are no pics of that i am assuming...

so... if any one can post detaild pics of there aerogate for me it would be nice...

i had the same dilemma before cooler master sold them in black. the white color you were saying is actually brushed aluminum. for matching the rest of thier brushed aluminum case models i imagine.

the hex screws on the front are functional, they hold the clear plastic on the front to the aluminum frame. its very easy to disassemble once your holding the unit, youll know what i mean when you see it. you should have no problems painting the unit.

the aerogate2 is a good fan controller/thermal monitor, and one of the best looking i might add. there were only a couple flaws with it i saw. one was how it would turn up my fans slightly after turning them all the way down, not keeping the lowest setting but slightly increasing the fan speed. which in my case made the fans being controlled make noise just above ambient audible with the rest of my computer noise. for this reason i ultimately sold the unit. the other flaw was the two loud beeps it gave off once started with the rest of the computer. not the most annoying thing in the world for sure but definitely unnessecary in my opinion.

you guys never fail me... thank you so much...

i had no idea it had a beep during start up... im assuming this must be for an audio alert for fan fail... witch is fine... and if i have to ill put a littel pot. on it and turn it down if it proves to be annoying... as it is the best looking one i have seen yet... i dont mind modding a littel to get it where i need it to be...
