Has anyone heard or know about this PSU?

http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16817331001

I am going to order this once everything is in stock

https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.asp?ID=5409967

I already have purchased 2 items, the video card (x1600xt) and the TV card (theater 550 pro).

The system is going to be used as a HTPC mostly along with internet, office work, and makeing home movies.

I want this PC to last me the next 5 - 7 years, like my old pc did

0db is a joke. You can't have 0db with a fan in a warm enviroment... heck might as well have no fan.

Get yourself a real PSU like the HX520 instead... spend the little extra and get something a world better.

Just wanted to say I was very much wanting the 620 Watt Aerocool Zero DBA for my recent upgrade as I have Aerocool ExtremeEngine 3T case and all Aerocool fans. But I realized how under powered it is after reading all the reviews and I decided to get the Corsair HX 620 instead. As Ockie has mentioned get either the Corsair HX 620 or if you need to save some $ go with the 520 instead. Don't bother with the Zero DBA series they are really underpowered for the cost.

Read the review just put up here on the Corsair HX 620 and it's clear for all to see that this PSU reigns supreme at it's price point. I love mine and it's the quietest component in my whisper quiet gaming machine I have assembled here. Get the Corsairs and you will not be sorry you did.

I highly do not recommend getting the Aerocool Zero DBA 500/620 series

You'll thank yourself later for getting either of the Corsairs

Best Of Luck

The 0dba is a unit that runs pretty well, but without a lot of power on the +12v rails. Plus, the 620version has the same power as the 520 version on the +12v.

The 120mm fan only spins when it's needed.

I still recommend a good seasonic or Corsair over it. Quiet fan works wonders.

Very great choice the 520 HX it would have been my 2nd choice if I hadn't had the money to get the 620 I would have def gotten the 520 instead. Hopefully it works out great for ya and I think you will find it will be super quiet and it will offer all the power you need now. And in the event you decide to upgrade some components or add a few more to your system in the future it will have more than sufficient wattage and most importantly the amps to power anything you can throw at it. Best of wishes on your new machine and I hope it serves you for many years to come.

If all you have is an X1600, then the Zero-DBA is a great choice.

Ockie doesn't realize that the fan doesn't even spin when the PSU is cold, which is why it's "zero dBA."

It's the same platform as the Hiper Type-R 580W, but without the Fuhjyyu capacitors.

As Bbq points out, you should get the 520W and not the 620W because the 620W only adds wattage to the 3.3V and 5V rails.

No way Jonny!

The AeroCool 500W is a max combined of only +12V@30A, leaving no room to grow &
the price is within $10 of the Corsair 520W with up to +12V@40A & a 5yr warranty!

Dave :)

Room to grow: Sure, there's not much there. I wouldn't do SLI or Crossfire with one with the split +12V rails, but he JUST PURCHASED everything else so I'm not taking into consideration future expansion. The Aerocool will be more than enough for all of those parts, it's a quality unit and it's very quiet even when the fan kicks in. Quieter than all of these other "fanless" PSU's with 80MM fans that don't turn on until it's too late.

Reading apprehension FTL!

You can't have 0db with a fan in a warm enviroment... heck might as well have no fan.

I've yet to hear of a cold running PSU, so correct me if I'm wrong. Also, when the fan does spin up, it's MUCH louder than the Seasonic/HX line. All it takes for zerodba to be loud is A) slightly enough load to pass the fan threshold, B) Warmer environment, C) Simple upgrade, or D) Eventual heating of system components until it triggers the PSU fan.

So I stick to my initial assessment, you can't have 0db in a warm enviroment when you have a fan cooled solution... lets face it here, we don't operate in meat lockers.
