AeroCool m40 or shuttle?

I don't really like the ultrafly or the thermaltakes. I've noticed the Aerocool gives more space between the CPU heatsink and the PSU. I belive it is just a grill which could be cut off.
Haven't really looked into the silverstones.

Do you think the 8800GT can fit inside a shuttle
?
 
I just put a RL friends pc together for him using a Aerocool M40 with a P5E-VM HDMI and the hard drive cage hits into the cooler on a 8800GTS.
I'm sure it will do this with any duelslot cooler with a M40 + P5E-VM HDMI.
 
for basic functions the shuttle is probably fine, but when you mention an 8800gt I would have to assume you want to do some gaming...

if that is the case then I would go with the m40 so you can get a decent motherboard chipset, power supply, etc.
 
M40 is larger and might have more room for a video card. From what morris_man said it might not be able to handle a dual slot cooler with some motherboards.

For the shuttle I would get a G5 over a G2. Checkout the SG33G5M. The G5 or G2 definately can't handle a dual slot cooler, but I believe an 8800GT will fit, I can test this out for you if you need, but I believe people have already done it. The 250W shuttle PSU is actually quite efficient and capable.
