Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I'm interested in getting an Aerocool DP102 for a 2600 XP-M but they are absolutely huge and weigh a ton. What I want to ask is if these are really suitable for a system that is gonna be moved around a bit? And do they work on a A7N8X
Ok lemme rephrase this, have there been any cases of a thermalright SP-97 wrenching the cpu off when moving it about? The SP-97 is 5g heavier so if it doesn't I'm guessing the same wont happedn to the DP-120.
I use one on a P4 2.8. with a Chaintech Zenith 9CJS. I used the four screws to retain it to the motherboard. In three months I've taken it to 2 LANs and one presentation 45 minutes away. I've had no problems. One thing that might ease your mind is laying you rig flat when going in a car. Hope this helps.
I have a DP-102 and feel that the 3 lug mounting clamps are more than sufficient to hold it securely.
Taking the normal precautions while moving the PC should be fine.
