-advmethods using console as service in XP

Maybe I don't understand (ok I know I don't understand). I'd like to run the -advmethods switch to get some different units but I have my console setup as a service on my XP boxen. Does launching the console with the -advmethods -configonly, making my adjustments, then relaunching the service retain the fact that I am interested in the service launching with the -advmethods switch?

If not, is there anyway to get the service to launch with this switch? Am I being stupid here?

EDIT: I am being stupid, looks like there is a parameters box under the service.

 
Check the registry. Under HKLM\currentcontrolset\system\services\C+:program+Files:something

or something like that.
 
Exact location of mine:
