Thermaltake Overseer RX-I Snow Edition
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera
CORSAIR Hydro Series H100 (CWCH100/RF) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Your answer to question 8 is a bit too open ended. Our hardware recommendations can change in as little as a week. So if you want an up to date build list, ask for advice when you are 1-2 weeks away from buying the parts. Otherwise it is a bit of a waste of time.

With that said, with your budget and planned use, no good reason to go with the AMD platform at all. You are better off with Intel. Also find out the exact model number of your monitor. It is very important as it determines what video card you should get

im using a tv as a monitor, its an insignia ns-lcd26-09.
im ready to start purchasing at anytime.

Are you planning on upgrading to a higher resolution TV or monitor? I ask because with that kind of monitor, you really don't need a mid-range GPU at all. Something like the $90 R7 250X would do the job just fine.

i do plan on upgrading to a higher resolution monitor/tv

for this build i may run my dx-32l221a12 when i tried to run it with my current computer the graphics weren't as clear/vibrant as running the smaller insignia.

as far as used parts i was looking at picking up a used r9 280x

i changed a few things around last night.

i thought it would fit what i use it for. browsing the web. streaming Netflix. and gaming a few hours a day. high settings would be nice. i don't necessarily need ultra settings.

That doesn't change what I said earlier: That Dynex is still 720P, same as your current Insignia. So when will you be upgrading to a higher resolution monitor?

I ask because it's ridiculously overkill to get a R9 280X if it's spending most of its time on a 720P screen.

That's the just the link for the blank template so nothing there.

That's still a very very very bad setup. Again, for gaming, you want an Intel CPU. In addition, it is utterly a bad idea to get R9 270X CFX since you don't even have a monitor that makes such a setup useful. Even then, R9 270X CFX is still not a good choice when you can get a single GTX 970. NOt to mention that you don't even have a SSD, one of the most important parts in a gaming PC nowadays.

Honestly, unless you need the gaming PC now, wait until you can get the gaming PC AND the larger monitor. It just doesn't make sense to go that bloody overkill for nothing. IN addition, don't go AMD for the CPU when you have the money for an Intel. Just doesn't make any good sense to go AMD for a $1000 gaming PC.

clearly you didnt understand that i was getting one after christmas. which is about a month away. why would i change my setup simply because i dont have the monitor yet. solid state drives dont have very much impact on gaming, you would know this if you did your research.

and clearly you're an intel fanboy. good day.

Good luck getting any help with that attitude...

You didn't specify exactly when after the holidays. February 2015 counts as "after the holidays".

If you had done your research, you would have found that SSDs make a massive difference in the overall responsiveness of a PC. Once you actually use a SSD, you're not going to want to go back to a regular hard drive for your OS. In addition, it also an indirect impact on gaming due to it dramatically speeding up load times for games, especially multiplayer games.

No I am not. I'm a bang for the buck fanboy. My last gaming PC had an AMD Phenom II X4 B93 CPU. My brother's old gaming PC had an Athlon X4 645 CPU. I have recommended and built with AMD CPUs plenty of times in the past when it made sense to do so. This is not one of those times. For AAA games along the lines of Star Citizen, BF4 Multiplayer, and Arma 3, Intel has an edge over AMD CPUs. AMD CPUs make some sense for a gaming PC if it's a limited budget. But a $1000 budget is not a limited budget in any way.
