most of that stuff is 2 yrs old.monitor is like 4

Am i going to see any significant improvement upgrading anything other than the monitor and graphics card? Those are the 2 items i am leaning toward replacing.I think i would see a huge improvement there.Don't think replacing mb or cpu would grant me any noticeable improvement.Does this sound right?
I mainly game mmo.vindictus,aion,c9,swtor.minimal video editing Sony Vegas.
Any recommendations on those 2 items if i am on right track?
thx

You still have the world's perfect gaming CPU. If you need a boost overclock it...you can get 25-40% boost for free, assuming you already have a good cooler.

If you're still itching to upgrade, go for what you're already considering - grab say a GTX 770, and a 1080p monitor.

Is your CPU overclocked?
Whats your max budget for these upgrades?

thanks, currently not overclocked.using a cm hyper 212 for cooling.nice cm case, good air flow all wires tucked away.kind of what i was hoping to hear, didn't realize how much of a gain i could get from oc'ing.
if i go with a whole new system,i was going to be around 2k.that would be including the vid card and monitor.i was figuring around 400 for monitor and close to same for vid card.would like a 24-27" monitor

Yeah definitely overclock your CPU if you can. But yeah, you only need a GPU and monitor upgrade. For the GPU, I would hold off on any GPU upgrade until after the launch of AMD's new GPUs in October. They might affect the pricing for current Nvidia GPUs or might be significantly better than similarily priced Nvidia or AMD GPUs. As for the monitor, apparently this QNIX QX2710 monitor for around $375 is rather popular judging from the length of this [H]Forum thread.
