advice on underclocking RAM

Hello, I'm fairly new to changing settings on hardware, so I'm not sure if I have the right idea about this. my current system is a AMD 2800+ on a ABIT NF7-S with 512 MB of Kingston DDR 3200 running in dual channel.

I've read that it's best when the CPU and RAM run at the same speed, so would it be advantageous to underclock the RAM and perhaps get lower CAS timings as well, or continue running at it's current speed? I am running everything at stock speeds as well.

I'm sorry if I do not have this information correct, so please forgive my ignorance if I have misunderstood something. Thank you for your time.
 
I don't think you could really change the timings much, as I've never seen memory run stable at different timings. The speed probably wouldn't be much of a difference. I assume you have the memory running at 333 Mhz to match the 333 Mhz of the processor (1:1). This is supposed to be the best performance level on an AMD system, but you could always run some benchmarks to compare when the memory is running at 333 and when it's at 400.
