I'm planning on building a portable system (so weight is a consideration) where read speed is a priority (going to be used for video/vfx stuff, so mostly continuous reading).
The current idea is to go for 4 ssd drives in total, with one as system drive, and 3 in raid 0, using a pcie raid controller, but I'm open to any ideas.
Budget for raid in total (drives and controller included) around 1200 euros. Raid storage space preferably >1.2 tb.
Pci-e slots available for the raid on the mb I'm considering is 2 (pcie 3.0 x16), but I can go for another mb if need be.
Any advice is appreciated.
(Edit: currently considered mb is ASRock FATAL1TY X99M Killer)
