I'm interested in getting a 2.5"/3.5" drive dock. The "baseline" would be a USB 2/USB 3 system connection. I would like the advice from the group about:

brands good/bad
importance or real value of an eSATA system connection, considering that I would be plugging in and then removing various drive
other features worth paying for/not worth paying for
did I say, brands good/bad.
