I have a PC-60 is just begging me to mod it, but I'm not very artistic so I'm going to have to keep things pretty simple.
Here is a list of the things that I know I want to include in the design:
- Mirrored windows on top and both sides (looks like mirror when interior lighting turned off, but can see in when light is on)
- Set 5 ¼ bays flush with the front of the case (not the face-plate)and put CCFL's in the face to throw a glow on them
- Accent things with fake carbon fiber (drive's, blank bays, power switch)
- Custom made 4 knobs variable voltage control based on LM338 voltage regulator to control multiple Tornados with one channel
- Led bars showing how much voltage is going to the fans
- Hide all wires as much as possible (sleeved anywhere they will be visible)
- Drill holes that match the front of the case in the side panel with a duct to bring air from outside the case onto the processor with an internal duct (?piece of clear plastic rolled into a funnel?)
- Biohazard/radiation grills on all fans (both sides if visible)
- LCD displaying temps, fan speed, etc.
- All visible rivets replaced by button head bolts
- Clear coat the outside of case (brushed aluminum scratches soooo easy)
- Line/paint inside of case (I'm thinking mirrored plexy on the sides of the drive cages and in the bottom to help hide wires)
- To hide the wiring on the backside of the motherboard tray place a sheet of acrylic that has been painted with UV pain on one side and some sort of design hiding the CCFL that lights it up
- Handles on both the side panels and motherboard tray
Thats about all I think that I have the ability/means to do. Is there anything some of you more experience modders want to say to possible help/guide me before I undertake this project? I am open to suggestions and constructive advice/criticisms (might not listen, but at least you will be able to say "I told you so")
