Advice on my Elite Pro

I have a X-fi Elite Pro and I need some advice. I purchased some digital Z-5500's and I want to be able to use them for DD and DTS for my blu rays and hddvds.

Will I run into any issues with the configuration of these two together? Any additional tips are appreciated as well

If you have the external box then you've got optical outs (toslink) which will do fine, and coax s/pdif. If you want to go analog, then you've got the 6-channel output jacks on the card itself.

The X-Fi's DAC is probably going to be better, and for BD/HDDVD high-res output you'd need to go analog anyway, if your playback software decodes it.
