Well my xtremegamer has been giving me a bit of crap recently. I would also like to move over to a pci-e sound card so that I could fit an aftermarket cooler onto my bottom video card. I mostly game but I do listen to some music and watch some movies on my pc. The vast majority of the time I use my M-audio av40. I rarely use headphones.

Anyways, I need some recommendations and I don't want to spend too much. I'm no audiophile. I'm thinking about the Xonar DX but asus isn't exactly famous for their software support and the floppy power requirement is a pita. I could also pick up a used Auzen prelude. Any other recommendation would be appreciated.

It has been almost a year since Creative Labs update their drivers for a bunch of the X-Fi cards
