Advice on a case

I don't know what a whole lot of cases look like and I was wondering if you guys could give me some recommendations.

I want a no-nonsense, clean cut case with none of that bling bling garbage that I see every time I search for a case on new egg. As far as color I would like it to have a nice metalic finish but without a cheap plastic feel to it. One of those removable motherboard treys would be nice too.

I saw the style of Lian Li cases, and I must admit that I like them, but I just can't justify spending $100-$200 on a new case.

Well I plan on putting a MSI K8N Neo4 SLi motherboard in it, so as long as that thing fits, I could care less about the size.
 
hmmm. I like the silver colored dragon, but I don't like the wavy things on the front of the case, and I don't like the fact that I have to open a door to access my DVD drive.

I might just break down and pay $90 for a Lian Li like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811112211

Looks really slick and is said to be made of high quality aluminum. I don't like the $90 price tag, but I guess that's what you have to pay for quality.
 
I kind of like the xpc cases, and they seem to be priced right too! Not sure if I'll take one over the Lian Li, but i'll be looking at them for sure.
 
Intel or Supermicro server chassis. IF you have to have metallic finish then Silverstone or CoolerMaster Cavalier.

This same case has come up in many posts here. I did a lot a reading about cases and almost bought this one. I had the credit card out and all, and then i read the reviews and many talked about how thin the aluminum is and prone to denting/bending.

I ended up going with a Lian-Li. Just spend the extra 50 bucks for even one of their lower end ones like you pointed out. You won't regret it (at least i haven't.. it really is high quality stuff.)
 
I bought a Coolermaster Cavalier 3 case, black with no powersupply for like $50 from newegg. Sleek, metal case with a hinged reversable aluminum front cover. Midsized tower, 120mm exaust fan, 80mm intake fan. Quiet, clean, easy to use. Very satisfied with it.
