I need a new monitor and want to get a 19". Since the LCD's are too expensive for me, I'm looking at getting a CRT.

I did want to get a Mitsubishi 930 SB or it's equivalent NEC but here (Australia), they are a bit too expensive for me at $580. I also looked at the Viewsonic P95F+ but it's at $570 which is too much as well.

So, I've narrowed it down to 3 options that are a little bit cheaper.

Well, kind of 2 options as 2 monitors are Mitsubishi and NEC and I've been told they're the same like the 930 SB and the other NEC.

The first is the Mitsubishi 93 SB ($445) and its equivalent NEC FE991 ($485). The 2nd is the Viewsonic G90F+ ($366).

I know about the Mitsubishi and the NEC and they're good monitors but I don't know much about the G90F+. I'm leaning towards it a lot more than the Mitsubishi/NEC because it's only $366 and I'd be prepared to spend that.

So, can anyone tell me if the G90F+ is a good monitor and what they think of this thread? I've been using a 17" Magview non-flat so I suppose anything would be better.

Thanks and the URL's are to the monitors I'm deciding on.

Your links are busted. The ... got into the link somehow. As for the screens I don't really know much about any of them. I have a preference for shadow mask tubes & have been buying Hitachis lately.

Personally I'd probably get the Viewsonic since I like shadow mask tubes. They all look pretty equivalent to me, and all three are well known makes.
Which one has the best warranty? I can't seem to find it on the specs.

Also, I don't think my eyes could really handle a screen resolution of 1600x1200 so at max, it'd be run at 1280x1024.

Would that make a difference as to which I should choose?

Thanks.
