Hye Guys
I wanna buy a GPU as my old Radeon 9000 Pro finally got burnt off............:( .Anyways the problem is that i live in Pakistan where availibility of card is quite a problem so i cant get each and every Card out here and the cards that are available around here are too expensive........... For example a 6600GT costs about 280 - 300 US Dollars around here. My budget is only 120$ and the cards that would be available in this price would be i think

Radeon 9550XT
Radeon 9550
Radeon 9600SE
Radeon 9600 Pro
Radeon 9200
Geforce 4 MX
Geforce 4 Ti 4200
FX 5200 ( Yeah i know it sucks! )
Geforce FX 5600 also probably.

So please guide me out which one would be the best buy for me as I am quite a Gamer...............U can call me a hardcore gamer ( That is If u dont call Hardcore only people who spend 500$ on a video card of course.) Secondly i cant buy anything online as Dont have a credit card. My current System Specs are

Athlon XP 2200+
Gigabyte 7-VA (VIA KT400)
784 MB DDR (400 Mhz) Ram
Video Card ----- Pending
40 GB Seagate Barracuda
So plz guy help me out............ :(
 
if you go to our SALE/FORUM and find someone who are willing to ship overseas.. i bet you can get a 9800PRO for $150 Shipped (overseas)

they go around $100 shipped right now through out the US.. so adding a $50 to ship overseas is pretty good deal..

the hard part is the person who are willing to ship to your place.. good luck..

if you cant find one, the 9600pro can handle very much every game w/ medium settings at 1024X768 res.. or even higher sometimes.. depending on the game you play..

wow....i never thought a person with such good english would live in pakistan....

i lived there for a year before i moved to Australia 8 years ago..

ANYWAY....it sucks that cards are so expensive there....but out of the list, i think the 9600 Pro would be the best option, as it is the fastest and has the best features eg pixel and vertex shaders 2.0......

Not good at all.

Easily the best card you listed there is the 9600 Pro, get that one.

Never get an FX card period, they are pure crap. Radeon 9550, but I strongly suggest that 9600 Pro.
 
Ok i finally searched the market and i have an another option of buying a Inno3d Geforce 6200 AGP for about the exact price i wanted and the 9600's are more expensive than i expected..............Would the 6200 be an OK choice?

Yes, just make sure it has a 128bit memory bus though. If it only has a 64bit then get the 9600 Pro.

Meh
They're not as good at DX9, but for DX8.1 and OpenGL they're fine. 9600s etc aren't exactly DX9 powerhouses either?
