Well after much thought I think its time to upgrade my sound system. I work at best buy and I don't think for much longer so I am kind of hurrying the process a little. I have the opportunity to purchase these for $340 a pair Shipped. After listening to everything we have at work these sound the best. I know this is a really good deal seeing as how they retail for $425 each so I guess what im asking is, is there anything else that you can find here
that might be better? Thanks for the help.
 
If you've already auditioned all of them then I guess you just made the right decision because those will sound best to you.
 
I have a nice 5.1 setup of Klipsch speakers and love them. The biggest thing I have noticed it that they need a pretty good amount of power compared to other speakers in the same price range. This may have something to do with the way their speakers are built, but you could do a lot worse.
 
Horn loaded speakers like klipsch are genereally notorious for their HIGH efficiency, which is the ability to output more sound with the same power input. Indeed, the sensitivity for those speakers is 98dB, which is pretty damn high.

If you like them, get them. That's a pretty decent price. What amp are you looking to use to drive them?

Pretty much anything that Bestbuy.com carries. I was hoping for some recommendations as I am new to all of this. I will be hooking up a Dvd player and an xbox and later would like to add a SACD player. Also would I be able to use my satellites from my Logitech z-680's as surrounds for this system until I can afford different ones? Thanks for the replies.
 
im lookin to buy the promedia 5.1 when my b-day comes around (i cant afford $340 speakers with out a job) i have listened to some higher quality klipsch speakers in my shop teachers HT setup and they were awsome. i dont know how that particular set sounds but your getting an awsome deal on them. youve listened to them and YOU like their sound (which should be a major consideration) i love klipsch, theyre speakers rock :D
 
The reference line is supposed to be a worthwhile upgrade. I'm picking up a pair of RB-35's for around $450 this week. You might want to look into them.
