advice for new HDD

Hello.

Im buying a hdd for my media.

i was thinking
hdd 250.0 gb seagate, serial ata, 7200.8, 8mb cache, 7200

i really dont need bigger drive, but as far as all around performace i need some advice if this is
a good drive or do i need to consider some else.

For media storage, the Seagate drives are an excellent choice. If you are looking for a boost in performance for loading Windows/Applications/Games, you should look elsewhere. If you feel like you need a drive with a five year warranty, get a Maxtor MaxLineIII. If you want a fairly cool/quiet drive, check out the WD2500KS or Hitachi T7K250.
