I had collected my MIL's Lenovo Ideapad laptop a couple years ago, after she had broken the LCD panel. At the time, it would have cost far too much to repair than it was worth. It is the AMD A12 model. Last week, I acquired a different brand broken computer that had a good panel, which happened to be an exact replacement and works great! Only problem is that LCD cover has a long vertical crack that when you open and close the lid it stresses the panel at that point. A replacement cover typically costs $30-$40 on ebay, but a complete computer of the exact same model without any breakage can be purchased for around $60-$70. So instead of spending much money, I'd like to fix the crack so the screen won't break after a few opening and closings. I don't really care how it looks. Any advise on adhesives/epoxies to use, or any other reinforcement materials that could be suitable? I don't have any pictures right now, but will try to get some later today and post up.

usually thats caused by the screw posts separating from the lid assembly. gorilla glue epoxy should be able to keep them in place but dont plan on ever taking it apart again.

Here is a picture of the crack
