Hey guys -

I am planning on buying a solid state drive for my current (and plans to build new rig) system. I use my system mostly for gaming.

The SSD would be for the operative system and maybe a couple games.

From my initial search I was thinking about a couple of these drives but I am not sure which would really be better. Any advice? My budget is probably sub 175 ish.

Crucial RealSSD C300 64 gig vs OCZ Vertex 2 80 gig vs OCZ Technology Agility 2 Series 90 GB SATA II.

Thoughts or any other drivs I should consider?

Thanks

I would go for the Crucial, or one of the Intels. Too many reports of problems with the OCZ drives.

Also, try to get the biggest drive you can - space is more important than the small (relative) speed increase between the various drives.

Out of those, I would pick the Crucial, unless you need the extra space. For reference, 64GB will fit Windows 7 and 3~5 newer games.

OCZ drives have a poor reputation, but the newer drives (presumably the ones you listed) may be all right. Someone else will have to chime in on that.

Edit: Damn, beaten by one minute. :(

I'd go with an 80GB Intel 320, which can be had for about $160 in OEM version, or $180 in retail box version.
