I am almost done selling my old system, and wanting to buy a 64bit system for gaming.I need advice for a mobo,cpu, and graphics card.

Go with socket 939, not 754 Get a MSI K8N neo2 platinum and a 3000+ or 3200+. And as far as I know the 6600 is only PCi express (i could be wrong) and the 9800 pro is a great card but really considered mid range now. Get a 6800Gt but if you cannot afford that get a regular 6800

the 6600gts are out in agp(came out a few days ago) and make sure the cpu has a winchester core (90nm=good)
 
I tend to agree with the other posters, the socket 754 is a dead end and few if any new processors (Sempron excepted) for the 754 socket will be forthcoming. I havent looked at an AMD roadmap in a couple of months but am sure someone will correct me if I am mistaken. In any event the point is the 754 technology/chipset is obsolete and even the current 939 stuff is waiting for PCi-x chipsets to arrive. Having just done an investigation for a customer if you must go with 754 I found almost all the boards perform in the same ballpark as the product is fairly mature. I ended up using the Chaintech VNF-250, I dont care for the brand personally but it was the least expensive, had good features, and I had no problems with the 3 systems I built using them. I recommend a amd 64 +3000 as it seemed to offer the most bang for the buck but prices change so fast.

Unfortunately its not a great time to buy an AMD 64 system as the boards with PCI-x capability are not available yet. Should be soon.

The 6600GT is out in AGP as the other poster mentioned, but it is brand spanking new (released yesterday/today) and while it does match or outperform the 9800XT it is priced at the $250 price point where it makes more sense at the moment to buy a BFG 6800 OC. I am sure the price of the 6800GT will come down shortly to around $200 or less matching the price of the corresponding PCI-x version and then it will be a good buy. If you were buying today and on a budget the 9800XT would be the way to go if you could not wait or could not go up to around the $250 price point. Make absolutely sure the 9800XT has the 256bit memory interface. Many places are selling the 128MB memory version with the crippled 128 bit memory interface for about the same price as the much more powerfull 128MB with 256 bit memory buss version. Its almost criminal.
