Advanced True Wide polarizer back?

Based on a few observations, I believe Apple's retina macbook pro has one too.

Left = rMBP; Center = 2490WUXi; Right = 20WMGX2

Notice how much glow the 20WMGX2 has compared to the other displays. The rMBP also has the typical red/green hues that A-TW displays have (though it's flipped relative to my 2490... you can see in the second shot - where the 2490 glows red, the rMBP glows green. The other side has the opposite effect). FWIW mine is an LG model. I have yet to verify whether or not the Samsung version is similar.

Sweet! A-TW polarizer is a selling point by itself in my opinion. I would gladly pay extra for it.

As far as I'm aware, the polarizer never went away in mobile devices.

Mobile screens are so small you would have a hard time to notice the effect. Where it is really needed is big screens like the 30" desktop IPS monitors.

Some mobile devices then. If you look at the iPad, you see the green/pink effect of a polarizer.

All LCDs have a polarizer and you can get tints without the extra ATW polarizer.

Look at TerraPhantm pics. The screen on the far right does not have ATW, yet it looks purple/pink from one side (more than screens with ATW) and orange from the other.

Does anyone know if there are any modern panels with A-TW exist on the market?

I believe NEC currently makes IPS monitors with an A-TW polarizer.
