Hey guys I've been using a program by IOBit called Advanced SystemCare pro. Its supposed to be this all-in-one spyware removal, tweaking, ram cleaning program.

Its supposed to make your computer runner smoother, better, faster etc.

Anyone else have it? I've been using it for about 4 days now and I think it's working a little bit.

Anyone else use a program similar to it?
Just curious.
 
Generally programs like that just automagically do stuff you could do on your own, like clearing caches, clearing out temp files, adjusting network settings, etc. There isn't any magic to it, but they can be useful if you don't know how to do it on your own, or if you want to a scheduler to do it all for you.
 
I tried an earlier version of Advanced System Care, and soon removed it. The ASC approach was essentially "trust me, just push button to make things better". There was little choice of what operations you wanted performed or to skip any operations you didn't want performed. There was also no information about what files were affected. I know - it's free - but this is ridiculous.

With other utilities like, for example, CCleaner or Ace Utilities, you can choose exactly what operations you wish to perform and exactly what files would be removed.
