The newest Adrenaline driver version 24.9.1 finally allows frame limiting in conjunction with AMD fluid motion frames for a massive increase in FPS while reducing power consumption in more demanding games. I haven't really tested it much but so far it is very impressive and it's working on 6000 and 7000 series gpus. Release notes say it's working with chill enabled but not really working for me. I found that if I set my in game FPS limit to 50% of my panels refresh rate it's working perfectly. This should make some of the high res high refresh gamers happy though and I can't feel any additional latency as old and slow as I am. I recommend you give it a try as it only takes a few minutes and you may be pleasantly surprised.
