adobe acrobat alternatives?

im not asking about warez, im asking about other programs, such that are found on download.com or something of that sort
 
Well Panther has a built in acrobat distiller, and you can use Preview to view PDF files. But to edit I think the only thing you can use is Acrobat.
 
the OS X built-in PDF engine sucks for anything but screen viewing. You can't use it to send anything to a printer. The resolution isn't high enough. I really haven't found anything open source to edit PDF's, but plenty of apps save to PDF, and ALL have the ability to print postscript. All you have to have then is the right PPD, and ghostscript.
