Adjusting focus on a crt

I've never worked on a Sun monitor but I have adjusted the focus on many other monitors.
All the monitors I've worked on I just needed to remove the cover to get at the potentiometers. (The pots are little knobs that you can either turn with a screwdriver, or by hand, but a screwdriver will give be a lot easier to fine tune)
Opening up a crt can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. The best advice I can give you is once you get the cover off, touch nothing inside except the potentiometers.
Also follow these simple rules and you'll be fine:
Do NOT wear a grounding strap.
wear sneakers with rubber soles
keep one hand behind your back (or in your pocket)
touch only the knobs for the potentiometers and nothing else
The reason for these rules is the Anode on the back of the crt has a very high voltage charge to it that is present even with the crt turned off. This is the reason crt's are dangerous, if you don't touch the anode or anything connected to it you will be fine. The rules are there that if for some reason you do accidently touch it then you are not the path of least resistance to ground.
