Adjusting 8600GT fan speed.

I just last night put together a swank new rig on a budget and so far I am loving the XFX 8600GT XXX I picked up. Except the fan noise. Its easily the loudest thing in my machine.

It doesn't appear to throttle up and down the fan speed depending on temperature. Its got just one setting: Loud.


So, is there any app I can install that will maybe slow it down some? I don't intend on OC'ing the card and my case is well ventilated. Running Vista x64.

You could try using rivatuner to adjust the fan speed. Although with my XFX 8600GTS XXX it wouldnt let me adjust them.
