OK, so on my laptop I run a 1680x1050 widescreen. Its a 9200 videocard for reference. Anyway, Im trying to set it up to use my 2000FP as a secondary monitor. It works fine, except I cant set it to 1600x1200, its just plain not available as a resolution. Probably to prevent idiots from setting their laptop screen to that, but in my case...

So how can I enable 1600x1200 resolution?
 
Right click desktop, properties, settings, advanced, monitor, uncheck "Hide modes this monitor...." Be careful with the laptop though, back in 94 or 95 (I was 12 at the time) I ruined my dads laptop by changing the resolution and refresh rate, I thought I was going to die that day.
 
nope. Its not a question of what the monitor can do, the videocard driver I *THINK* is just not setup for 16x12 on any screen. I have the 2000fp driver loaded. It just jumps from 1280x1024 to 1680x1050 on the slider. Thats if I have the modes unhidden. without that checked it just goes up to 1280x1024. Damnit. This is a native 16x12 screen!

Another thing. If I run the secondary at 1280, its only displaying 1024x768 and is scrolling to the rest. WTF is up with that?

//offtopic//...yeah I did that to a computer in 11th grade some years back.....I was a teachers aid in a health class, and I was just messing with everything on the computer....the screen went black and never came back....a while later, I walked by that classroom and saw the tech come out with the computer in his hands...I was like "aww, shit!" The next day I was scared to go back in...but I went back in, and the computer was sitting there...just how it was before I screwed it up...ha ha....anyways...//ontopic//

gee, thanks for the bump, just wish it had been more helpful. I saw it in CP in bold and Im like "sweet!" and then... :(
