Additional Display Suggestions?

I currently run a 37'' Westy as my main monitor and while its awesome for the size and for movie watching, I need some more space for work so that I can maybe write a paper while keeping a webpage up on the main.

Currently, I can do that but I'd still like more room so I was thinking about getting a monitor to use in portrait mode for documents and such.

I'm not sure whats a good one to use with the Westy, I'd like it to be similar in height. I measured the side of the Westy and its about 24'' so would a 24'' widescreen be almost a good fit?

Don't worry about desk size + speakers, I can adjust that and get a new desk.

The best fit I found was a 22" 16:10 monitor.

Or what do you mean by similar height? Including the bezel? If so I have no idea. The size of a monitor is measured diagonally.

Also the dot pitch difference between a 37" TV and a 'regular-sized' monitor will be huge. Doesn't seem practical.

Yeah I was a little worried about that difference in dot pitch.. not sure if I wanna ditch the 37 and go down to 2 24's or something.. probably cost me a lot more.
