I am building my first PC. I am going to use an ABIT AA8XE Socket T (LGA 775) Intel 925XE ATX Intel Motherboard with an Intel Pentium 4 570J Prescott 800MHz FSB LGA 775 Processor Model BX80547PG3800EJ. I am not going to OC it. My case is a Lian Li PC-65B Black Aluminum ATX Mid Tower which comes with 4 - 80mm fans. Power supply will be an Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-480 BLUE ATX12V 480W Power Supply. Will I need additional cooling and if so what?
 
I feel the 4) 80mm fans will be ok. what GPU will you have? Its really hard to say, check your temps and go from there. I went from a LianLi case with 2 front 80mm 1 top 120, 80 mm on the side window, 1 80mm in the back and now my new case has a 92 mm on the windowm and a 120 front and back and cools a lot better.
 
You'll enjoy better than average case temperatures. Are you going to be using the stock retail-box thermal solution? They're not bad, as they do offer a lot of surface area and a decently efficient thermal interface material, but in terms of noise and aesthetics, they're not so great. You could stick with the boxed thermal solution or go with an aftermarket solution which will offer lower noise output and better aesthetics, seeing how you've got the window with the PC-65. You've chosen a good power supply too, so cheers to you.
 
I'll be using an ATI Radeon ALL-IN-WONDER X800XL 100-714500 ALL-IN-WONDER 256MB GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X Video Card, a CREATIVE Sound Blaster Audigy2 ZS audio card, 1 - 160GB SATA for Op Sys, 2 320GB SATA (Raid 1 Config) for data.
 
Depends on how much you want to spend. I'll throw out some known-good solutions that do it all. If you do decide to switch to an AMD Athlon64 setup, these things will make the transition seamlessly. This first combination will pretty much take everything you throw at it, while keeping weight down and noise down also. Do invest in some good thermal compound while you're at it. Arctic Silver 5 is a good choice.
