Adding/Replacing Storage

Hey guys, I'm trying to wrap my head around the best way of going about this. I have a Samsung 830 120GB SSD alongside a 640GB WD HDD. I'm a little tight on SSD storage (my OS and regular games are on there), so I want to upgrade.

Would you:

- Purchase another of the exact same SSD and RAID them?
- Purchase a single larger, newer SSD and sell the old one?
- Purchase a newer, larger SSD to go alongside my old one?

Any advice would be appreciated!
 
I would (and have done) option #2 and option #3. A Crucial MX100 256GB can be had for $100 on sale.
 
Another idea would be to purchase another SSD, equal or greater size for your apps and games and such. Like keep the 830 as your OS and main apps drive until it dies or starts to give out. Use the new SSD for games and other stuff and the HDD for media and such. Then if the primary boot SSD dies, you have a spare SSD you just need to format and install.
 
2 or 3 usually works best especially at that size. Either sell the old one, put it in a laptop or another pc that needs it, or use it a games only drive.
 
I would buy an affordable 256 or 512GB SSD (the mentioned MX100 should be a good choice) and use the 830 as SRT cache drive for the HDD.
I use an 64GB 830 as cache for a 3 TB HDD as well. The 830 was a very reliable SSD, the chance of it dying is low unless you intentionally write it to death.
