Other than looking cool if done right - any real-world benefit? My Antec 1040BXII is already modded with an 80mm fan blowing right across the card from the sidepanel.

Card is the 9800-style with big molex and no heatsink on the back if it makes any diff. May OC it a bit in time.

well logically it should its going to dispurse heat which will make it cooler and have the ability to last longer. if u overclock though a better heatsink/fan on the main chip will be the big difference

Suggestions on good main chip cooler? I would like something quiet as this box will be used for recording audio/hate noisy stuff running at night.

VGA Silencer comes to mind.

If your a modder, nothing beats a good 1U cooper cooler modded to the GPU, also grab some massive copper ramsinks, then youll be cookin'

Well nothing comes to mind...but i just ordered one, and ill thro a tutorial up on my site and which one i used...etc. i also ordered some massive copper ramsinks and 20 microsinks for my x800pro, :p , superclocking...here i come!
