is it possible to add a folder and use it to organize your pm's? when i created a new folder it only appears at the top of the 'jump to' along with 'inbox' and 'sent' when i click on my Private Messages.

i would like to know if it is possible to organize pm's by moving them to various folders you have created. if you have the ability to create new folders, what are you supposed to put in them, i just assumed you had that ability so you could organize pm's into something else besides just inbox and sent.

it is really hard to explain what i am talking about.

thanks for the help

Under the edit folders in the PM category of the User CP, you have the ability to add folders. You can then move PMs to the folders you create. Is that what you're asking?

i think we are thinking along the same lines. the folder i created shows up in the drop down menu box when you are in the pm area of the user cp. but i do not know how to move my of my pm's to this new folder.

i created a folder called purchased items that i wanted to move all my pms related to things i've bought and sold, but i cannot move my pm's to this folder.

once again it is really hard to explain, but would be simple if someone was watching visually

Once you've created the folders, go to your inbox or outbox and on the right side you can check each PM, once you check the ones you want to move, at the bottom right, it says Move to Folder..., click that and it will ask what folder you want to move them to.

problem is my newly created folder does not show up in the bottom right menu dropdown box. the old place i can see it is at the top in the drop down that has inbox or sent when you click it. it is really hard to explain.

i just figured it out. thanx for the help ND40oz, your reply flipped the switch in my head.
