Adding drives to my RAID5

I currently have 4 drives in software RAID 5, and I wanted to add two more: one for capacity, and either add a hot spare or convert the RAID to level 6.

I currently have four of these in here:

Hitachi Deskstar HD32000 IDK/7K H450-9000 SY.

Those drives aren't available everywhere anymore. I'm assuming that newer drives are better, but should I seek out drives that match the old ones, or can I add any drives that are close in specs?
